continues to be an economic driver
for the city and local businesses,
generating a record $10.56 billion
in visitor spending in 2023, with
visitors spending an average of $29
million a day.

In 2022, visitors to Davidson County
generated $3,477 in tax savings per
household through state and local
tax collections.
Of the 16.8 million visitors in 2023, 11.2
million are overnight visitors, and 5.6
million are day visitors.
Of those staying overnight, 7.9 million
stayed in hotels, 1.2 million in shortterm rentals, and 2 million with friends
and family.
2022 visitor spending in Davidson County
generated a record $1.02 billion in state
and local tax revenue. Of that, $409 million
was in local taxes.
Nashville leads the way as the highest
contributor to tourism spending across
Tennessee, accounting for over one-third
of visitor spending statewide.
